It is with immense excitement and pleasure that I invite you all to be part of the blog tour for the Sidekick Squad series to celebrate and promote the upcoming release of Not Your Backup. 🎉

The Sidekick Squad is a beloved series, known for its warm and charming narratives, lovable characters, inclusive and diverse representation, and its hopeful and refreshing take on YA science-fiction and superheroes. The story follows a group of teenagers who team up to take on a corrupt superhero agency. The first story, Not Your Sidekick followed Jess, a bisexual Vietnamese-Chinese teen, whilst the second story, Not Your Villain, followed Bells, a trans Black teen. The third installment of this brilliant series, Not Your Backup, will follow Emma, and will be releasing on June 1st 2019.

About The Blog Tour

As a major fan of this series and C.B. Lee’s work, I had this idea to bring together all the fans of the series and organise a blog tour to celebrate, promote, and share all the love for, not only Not Your Backup, but also the first two books of the series, Not Your Sidekick (#1) and Not Your Villain (#2).

The blog tour will run from 27th of May 2019 to 7th of June 2019, including weekends. For the Sidekick Squad blog tour, we would like to invite book reviewers who also love the Sidekick Squad series to participate. Although the focus should be on Not Your Backup, we would also like to welcome book reviewers who would like to review Not Your Sidekick (#1) and/or Not Your Villain (#2) as well.

The publishers of the Sidekick Squad series, Duet Books (imprint of Interlude Press), have kindly agreed to organise eARCS of Not Your Backup via Netgalley. Thus, an account on Netgalley is required if you want to review Not Your Backup as part of your blog tour. (However, if you are interested in reading Not Your Sidekick and Not Your Villain, we will be unable to provide you with a copy.)

Have any questions? Send them my way via email at thequietpond@gmail.com.
