Xiaolong’s Book Reviews

Xiaolong the axolotl, wearing an upside down flower hat, holding a book to her chest and crying loudly.Xiaolong is the Keeper of the Pond here. When she isn’t busy ensuring that the magic flows across the Pond, you will probably find her reading (and possibly crying, as most readers do).

Indeed, Xiaolong loves reading books, and so when you visit her at the Pond, she will share with you her review of the latest book that she’s read. You’ll probably see Xiaolong a lot in your visits at the Pond, but you can revisit the first time you met her and introduced herself here.

You think about asking Xiaolong about a book that she had told you about before, but looking over to your little friend, she looks a little busy casting wards and helping the other inhabitants.

You look over the Pond, you know is a powerful and magical entity that can show you the past. You walk over, sit at its edge, and silently ask whether you can revisit a memory that you had with Xiaolong. The tips of your fingers go warm, the soft purple glow of the pond grows deeper, and you ease into the Pond’s magic as it takes you back in to the past.
