Xiaolong and Cuddle’s Book Reviews

Xiaolong the axolotl, wearing an upside down flower hat, holding a book to her chest and crying loudly. Two of your Pond friends review books at the The Quiet Pond!

Xiaolong is the Keeper of the Pond here. When she isn’t busy ensuring that the magic flows across the Pond, you will probably find her reading (and possibly crying, as most readers do).

Indeed, Xiaolong loves reading books, and so when you visit her at the Pond, she will share with you her review of the latest book that she’s read. You’ll probably see Xiaolong a lot in your visits at the Pond, but you can revisit the first time you met her and introduced herself here.

Cuddle the brown otter, holding Party the otter plush and wearing a purple pajama cat, waving at you.Cuddle is an inhabitant of the Pond, and reviews her books alongside her stuffed animal otter, Party. Give her a yummy fish snack, a quiet spot to read, and some water, and she’ll be your friend forever.

Like Xiaolong, Cuddle loves reading books and will also share with you her review of a book that she’s read! You can revisit the time Cuddle and Party joined The Quiet Pond and when you first became friends.

You think about asking Xiaolong and Cuddle about a book that they had told you about before, but looking over to your little friends, they look a little busy casting wards and helping the other inhabitants.

You look over the Pond, you know is a powerful and magical entity that can show you the past. You walk over, sit at its edge, and silently ask whether you can revisit a memory that you had with Xiaolong and Cuddle. The tips of your fingers go warm, the soft purple glow of the pond grows deeper, and you ease into the Pond’s magic as it takes you back in to the past.
